Christian Lefebvre Appointed Executive Director of the Information and Referral Center of Greater Montréal

Montréal, March 19, 2025 – The Board of Directors of the Information and Referral Center of Greater Montréal (IRCGM) is proud to announce the appointment of Christian Lefebvre as Executive Director. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the sound management and development of four services operated by IRCGM including the regional social information and referral service 211 Grand Montréal-Gatineau, the provincial addiction services Drug: Help and Referral, Gambling: Help and Referral and the TéléCounseling program for excessive gambling.

Christian Lefebvre holds a Master’s degree in public administration from the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP), following studies in social intervention at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He has nearly twenty years of experience in managing community organizations and social development, particularly with the city of Montréal, where he collaborated extensively with 211 on housing-related projects. His management skills and knowledge of socio-community issues make him an invaluable asset to all IRCGM employees.

Quebec is currently experiencing a critical period and is facing three major crises: homelessness, substance abuse, and access to mental health care. In addition, the current economic and social context makes the information, referral, and support services of IRCGM more important than ever. They must be part of the solution to support the most vulnerable communities. To achieve this, Christian Lefebvre can rely on the organization’s strong foundations, including rigorous management of its assets and funding, as well as a team of over 80 diverse talents. These are key assets that will allow IRCGM to effectively work on developing its next strategic plan and implement innovative projects.
